Main Street Uvalde is a nonprofit organization that works with the community, governing entities, businesses, and property owners to advocate, initiate, and incentivize economic investment for the revitalization, preservation, and promotion of our historic downtown as an attractive, bustling destination for residents, tourists and travelers to gather, shop, work, and enjoy.
Main Street Uvalde envisions a revitalized and active historic downtown destination that strives to be a family-friendly, attractive, safe, and desirable center for business, leisure, and entertainment incorporating and celebrating the unique history, architecture, and cultural diversity of the community.

Downtown Texas- DowntownTX.org is an online building inventory for Texas downtowns featuring historic property listings. The software was conceptualized and developed by the Texas Historical Commission’s Town Square Initiative to increase and influence the market exposure of available historic properties in downtowns across Texas.
Are you between the ages of 14-18? Do you have an interest in revitalization, learning, and passing along the history of Uvalde? The Main Street Uvalde program is looking for 5 individuals who are interested in helping to build up the Main Street District which is part of the Historical District of Uvalde. Assist in enhancing the beauty of the area, how to grow, and how to keep our rich history alive.
Meetings will be held on the third Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Main Street Uvalde office located at 340 N. Getty Street.
